Un paréntesis es que creo que ésta es una de las cosas negativas que atraen a la gente, que Las mil y una noches podría utilizarse como disfraz para el racismo. Convenía a Occidente. Se podía introducir de contrabando el racismo en la literatura infantil. El mago africano en la historia de Aladino, está etiquetado explícitamente como el "Mago Africano". No es un personaje sino un estereotipo, y mucho de esto llegó a la literatura infantil con este disfraz oriental.
